In this role, you will promote and sell pharmaceutical products within your assigned territory, increase product awareness, respond to customer enquiries and provide expert product information. You will build and maintain strong relationships with General Practitioners, relevant specialists and Key Opinion Leaders, while identifying customers with growth potential. You will manage your territory independently and work closely with Sales, Marketing and Medical teams.

Territory: German-speaking Switzerland, focus on ZH, LU & SG

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell the pharmaceutical product portfolio within the assigned territory, both in person and virtually
  • Increase product awareness, respond to customer enquiries and provide expert product information
  • Achieve defined sales targets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and KOLs
  • Identify and assess customers with growth potential
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activities and customer feedback and translate relevant insights into actions
  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop targeted prescriber strategies
  • Plan targeted customer visits and continuously optimise call planning
  • Represent the company at regional and national congresses
  • Plan and execute local events and manage the allocated budget responsibly
  • Accurately document customer activities in the CRM system
  • Coordinate closely with Sales, Marketing and Medical teams
  • Participate in meetings, training sessions and conferences
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of brand strategies
  • Continuously develop professional expertise and maintain up-to-date medical knowledge
  • Promote products ethically and in compliance with applicable requirements

Candidate Profile

  • 3–5 years of successful experience as a Medical / Pharmaceutical Sales Representative
  • Postgraduate qualification in a scientific field; SHQA training is an advantage
  • Experience managing relationships with General Practitioners and relevant specialists, ideally including Urologists, Gastroenterologists, Palliative Care specialists and Geriatricians
  • Sales experience within the assigned territory
  • Experience with digital medical appointment scheduling
  • Experience engaging Key Opinion Leaders and representing a company at regional and/or national congresses
  • Experience organising and managing local events
  • Ability to collaborate with Marketing on targeted prescriber strategies
  • Good knowledge of the Swiss healthcare system and pharmaceutical reimbursement
  • Strong project management and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage and optimise an allocated budget
  • Solid reporting experience and proficient use of CRM systems
  • Languages: Fluency in German, good command of English, French is an advantage
  • Driving licence
