In this role, you will support procurement activities related to capital investment projects and operational purchasing processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure smooth purchasing execution, timely deliveries, and compliance with internal standards. The position offers exposure to technical project environments and international stakeholder collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support operational procurement activities throughout the full purchasing cycle for Capex projects

  • Create and manage purchase orders in SAP according to approved sourcing decisions

  • Monitor supplier confirmations, delivery schedules, and invoice consistency

  • Assist with RFQ activities including information gathering, quotation comparisons, and documentation management

  • Coordinate with suppliers regarding pricing details, delivery timelines, and required documentation

  • Maintain accurate and traceable procurement records

  • Serve as procurement contact for assigned project work packages

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Project Management, Finance, and Quality teams

  • Support project timelines and cost monitoring at purchase order level

  • Ensure procurement activities comply with internal policies, GMP, and EHS requirements

  • Communicate with suppliers regarding operational order execution topics

  • Maintain structured procurement documentation and reporting

 

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable experience in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related discipline

  • Previous experience in procurement, operational purchasing, or supply chain activities preferred

  • Exposure to technical, industrial, engineering, or Capex environments is beneficial

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional project teams

  • Motivated to develop procurement knowledge and capabilities

  • Basic understanding of commercial and contractual principles

  • Experience with SAP is advantageous

  • Strong experience within Capex procurement environments preferred

  • Fluent English skills required

  • German language skills strongly preferred 

  • Availability to work on-site in Visp at least 3 days per week
