In this role, you will lead and drive the sales and business development strategy within a CDMO environment, expanding market presence, building strategic partnerships, and ensuring sustainable revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the global sales and business development strategy aligned with company objectives

  • Lead, coach, and develop the sales and business development team

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across international markets within the CDMO/CMO space

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders

  • Oversee complex negotiations, contracts, and commercial agreements

  • Drive pipeline development and ensure achievement of revenue targets and KPIs

  • Collaborate closely with technical, R&D, and operations teams to evaluate and progress new projects

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to inform strategic decisions

  • Represent the company at international conferences, industry events, and client meetings

  • Contribute to pricing strategies, business planning, and long-term growth initiatives

Candidate Profile

  • University degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, or a related field 

  • Several years of experience in sales and business development within the Life Sciences industry

  • Proven leadership experience in managing and developing high-performing teams

  • Strong track record in CDMO/CMO business development or related environments

  • Excellent understanding of complex, technical products and services

  • Strategic mindset combined with strong commercial acumen

  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

  • Fluent in German and English 

  • Willingness to travel
