In this role, you will support procurement activities for capital investment projects, ensuring smooth operational purchasing from requisition through order completion. You will coordinate with internal stakeholders and suppliers while maintaining compliance with established procurement standards. Working under the guidance of senior procurement professionals, you will help drive timely and cost-effective execution of Capex purchasing activities.

Key Responsibilities

 

Operational Purchasing Execution

  • Support full-cycle purchasing activities for Capex projects from requisition to order closure

  • Create and process purchase orders in SAP in accordance with approved sourcing decisions

  • Monitor order confirmations, delivery timelines, and invoice accuracy

RFQ and Sourcing Support

  • Assist in preparing and managing RFQ documentation and bid comparisons

  • Support communication with suppliers regarding pricing, lead times, and documentation

  • Ensure sourcing documentation is complete, transparent, and audit-ready

Project and Stakeholder Coordination

  • Serve as procurement contact for assigned work packages within investment projects

  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Project Management, Quality, and Finance teams

  • Contribute to timeline adherence and cost tracking at purchase order level

Supplier and Compliance Management

  • Engage with suppliers on operational order topics

  • Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies as well as GMP and EHS standards

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records

Candidate Profile 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related discipline

  • Initial experience in procurement, supply chain, or operational purchasing preferred

  • Exposure to technical, engineering, or Capex project environments is an advantage

  • Structured and detail-oriented working style

  • Ability to operate effectively in cross-functional project settings

  • Strong willingness to learn and further develop procurement expertise

  • Basic commercial and contractual understanding

  • Experience with SAP preferred

  • Solid understanding of Capex procurement activities

  • Fluent English required

  • German strongly preferred for interaction with local stakeholders

  • Availability to work on-site in Visp at least 3 days per week
