In this role, you will drive indirect procurement activities around carve-outs and divestments, partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless transitions, strong vendor performance, and cost optimization. You will influence sourcing strategy, manage contracts, and mitigate risk during and after carve-out projects. A deep understanding of procurement in a CDMO/clinical-type environment is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with due diligence, carve-out planning, and execution to enable smooth transition and integration of systems and services
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key vendors, negotiate terms, monitor performance, and ensure compliance
  • Identify and evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability; conduct market research to stay aligned with industry trends
  • Draft, negotiate, and manage contracts in compliance with policies and legal requirements
  • Identify opportunities for indirect procurement savings and process improvements; implement spend optimization strategies
  • Assess and mitigate risks related to supplier relationships, contracts, and compliance
  • Coordinate with IT, Automation, Quality, MRO, Finance, Legal, and other departments to ensure procurement activities support carve-out objectives
  • Create and maintain procurement performance metrics; provide data-driven insights
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of procurement policies and best practices

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field / Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years in indirect procurement, with 3–5 years focused on carve-outs and divestments
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and vendor management
  • Proven experience managing procurement aspects of business divestments, including planning and execution
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
  • Familiarity with procurement software/tools; proficiency in MS Office; experience with ERP systems
  • Strategic thinker, detail-oriented, collaborative leader, adaptable, and resilient under pressure
