In this role, you will oversee manufacturing operations in upstream and downstream processes or BioConjugates production, ensuring smooth implementation of new systems and procedures. You will lead cross-functional teams, support technical transfers, and drive operational excellence. Your expertise will be key in facilitating change management, training, and process optimization for both clinical and commercial manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage operational activities in upstream and downstream processing or BioConjugates manufacturing, including tech transfers, material planning, documentation, training, troubleshooting, and deviation management
  • Lead the implementation of new SAP functionalities, ensuring comprehensive change management documentation and updates to manufacturing documentation such as SOPs and batch records
  • Act as a functional lead for multidisciplinary teams, overseeing the successful deployment of new initiatives and projects
  • Develop and maintain training materials for manufacturing staff, logistics, and other related areas
  • Support activities for clinical and/or commercial production across various DSP areas, such as capture, purification, polishing, or drug substance filling
  • Ensure procedures are in place for efficient operation of single-use and stainless steel equipment used in the purification of therapeutic proteins and BioConjugates

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Biotechnology, Bio-chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or related Life Sciences field
  • Extensive experience in downstream processing or BioConjugates manufacturing within the biotech or biopharma industry, including chromatography and filtration techniques
  • Strong GMP knowledge and compliance experience
  • Proficiency in SAP, particularly in material management (BOM)
  • In-depth understanding of production logistics workflows
  • Hands-on experience with MES systems
  • Excellent communication skills in English and/or German
  • Strong team player with a structured, organized, and solution-focused working style
  • Open to new ideas and continuous improvement approaches
