In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards are integrated into all phases of investment projects. You will work closely with design teams to evaluate safety impacts, ensure compliance with relevant regulations, and develop EHS documentation to support project execution and regulatory audits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of EHS standards and practices throughout the project lifecycle
  • Collaborate with design teams to incorporate safety, environmental, and sustainability considerations into project designs
  • Participate in risk assessments such as HAZOP, ATEX, containment, and fire safety evaluations during various project phases
  • Maintain accurate records of basic container data for reporting and dashboard creation, including regular inspections
  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international EHS regulations and standards (e.g., SUVA)
  • Prepare documentation required for approvals related to project execution
  • Develop and manage EHS deliverables such as initial assessments, corrective action reviews, and operational safety plans
  • Monitor project progress against EHS milestones and provide updates to stakeholders
  • Support regulatory audits and ensure documentation is maintained for compliance

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in EHS engineering or related field, preferably within industrial or project environments
  • Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and standards relevant to chemical or process industries
  • Experience conducting risk assessments such as HAZOP, ATEX, and fire safety evaluations
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to develop comprehensive EHS documentation and manage multiple priorities
  • Fluent in English (C1), fluent German is a big plus
  • Proactive problem-solving attitude and attention to detail
